Ways of knowing promotional merchandise REALLY works...

As the month's tick along our countdown continues, this month we are going to show you 9 pieces of evidence that Promotional Merchandise works out there in the real world:
1. 89% of people surveyed said they would retain an item of promotional merchandise they had been given in their briefcase, work bag or handbag
2. 69% would retain the item rather than pass it on to a family or colleague member
3. 38% of people surveyed said the pen was the item they would most likely keep, the next most popular item was the USB stick with 18% of the votes
4. 71% of respondents had heard of the company that presented them with their favourite item
5. The same number (71%) could name the company that had presented them with the item, suggesting that repeat exposure to an item that is used on a regular basis is remembered
6. 54% of those questioned had already purchased something from one of the companies that had supplied them with a piece of promotional merchandise
7. 90% of people surveyed said that they believe that promotional merchandise increases a company's brand awareness
8. When asked the reason for keeping a promotional item on their desk, 89% of people chose usefulness as the reason - definitely something to consider when selecting items for your next campaign
9. 71.6% of tradeshow attendees remembered the name of the company that gave them the product
